Who we are
We, the indigenes of the Old Orlu in Imo State, Nigeria residing in Michigan in the United States of America, are recognizant of our common heritage and aware of the cultural, educational, recreational, social, and spiritual need for coordination by an organized group, and a desire to forge a close association with one another, to foster communication between the organization and the community; and to preserve, teach, and nurture our rich cultural heritage to our children, the greater Detroit Michigan communities and surrounding areas through our educational, charitable, and cultural activities, do hereby for the Old Orlu (Ezinwanne) Association and give to ourselves the following constitution which may be cited as The Constitution of the Old Orlu (Ezinwanne) Association, Detroit, Michigan, 1996.
Immigrants and descendants from the Old Orlu region ni Imo State, Nigeria have resided and contributed to the communities of this great State of Michigan for years.
Today, there are hundreds of our kindred in varying professions resident in this great country. Our accomplishments in America owe a lot ot our cultural upbringing.

The Old Orlu Ezinwanne Association hosts a variety of events and activities throughout the year, including:
